What Is The KNUST Day Of Giving?

KNUST Day of Giving is an online celebration and fundraising event during which alumni, friends, staff, faculty, and students come together to donate any amount in any currency of their choice to support the University and its projects.

On behalf of the Chancellor, His Majesty Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, and the entire Management, I warmly welcome you to the KNUST Day of Giving.

The KNUST Day of Giving is a 24-hour global onlinefundraising initiative, scheduled for Friday, 6th October, 2023.

It is a day set aside by KNUST for her alumni, friends and stakeholders such as staff, students, parents, neighbours and business partners to show appreciation to the University.

When Can I Give?

The KNUST Day of Giving starts at midnight on Friday, October 6, and ends at 11:59 p.m.

However, donations can still be made before and after the designated period. You don’t have to wait to make a difference.

What Is Our Goal?

The Target is to raise GHS 200 million to build a 2000-bed space accommodation for students.

The
objective is to rally as many people as possible to create the single biggest donation in KNUST’s history and, in turn, create an unprecedented wave of support that will culminate in raising GHS 200m towards the construction of a 2000-bed capacity

Where Do Contributions Go?

The contributions go towards the construction of a 2000-bed capacity Hall of Residence on the KNUST Campus for student accommodation.

When you participate, you join others in pooling resources together so that we can blaze new trails.

Are There Other Ways I Can Get Involved?

Certainly! Once you have access to a phone or computer and a few minutes to spare, you can volunteer as a KNUST Day of Giving Advocate.

Reach out to friends and classmates to encourage their participation. You may also want to leverage your own gift to motivate others or set up a personal challenge to match donations from your classmates, brothers or sisters, teammates, etc.

You can even help build awareness leading up to the day by sharing what you love most about KNUST using the hashtag #KNUSTDayofGiving.
