The BSc Accounting/Banking and Finance  KNUST is a four-year degree program which leads to the award of the degree in Accounting/Banking and Finance.

Applicants must satisfy the university’s general requirements. To be qualified for admission prospective applicants must have the following requirements.

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

  • Credit passes in three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social.
  • Credit passes in three electives: Business, General Arts, General Science.

A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

Applicants with A’ Level qualification must have five (5) credits at O’ Level, including English and Mathematics and passes three (3) in A’ Level subjects: Business, General Arts, General Business.

MATURE APPLICANTS

You must be 25 years of age to qualify at the time of summiting your applicant forms.

Applicants can be with WASSCE/SSSCE or O level qualification.

OTHER APPLICANTS

  • Applicants with ACCA, ICA, ACIB or CIM must in addition have credits at WASSCE/SSSCE in three (3) core subjects and three (3) Elective subject or Five (5) credits at O Level including English and Mathematics.
  • Applicants with General Business Certificate (GBCE) or Advance Business Certificate (ABCE) must have credits in at least six (6) subjects including English Language and Business Mathematics at the GBCE, or three passes in relevant compulsory subject additional three optional subject at ABCE.
  • HND Applicants with second class (Lower division) and above must have addition credit at WASSCE/SSSCE in three core subjects and three electives or Five (5) credits at O Level including English Language and Mathematics. Applicants will be place at  second year after having an entrance examination.
