The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communication Design program at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) offers a comprehensive education that blends creative and technical skills, preparing students for diverse careers in the design industry

This program aims to equip students with the necessary skills in visual communication, graphic design, multimedia, and interactive design, fostering creativity and innovation in solving design problems

Graduates of the BA in Communication Design program can pursue careers in graphic design, web design, advertising, multimedia production, illustration, and user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design

Duration of KNUST BA In Communication Design

The BA Communication Design KNUST is a four-year degree program which leads to the award of the degree in Communication Design.

What are grades needed for KNUST BA In Communication Design  (Graphic Design) Course

The basic requirements are that applicants should have credits passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects’ core subject English, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Elective subjects Graphic Design, General Arts Elective, Visual Arts Elective excluding leather work, Bead making, Basketry.

KNUST BA In Communication Design  (Graphic Design) Admission Requirement

Applicants must satisfy the university’s general requirements. To be qualified for admission prospective applicants must have the following requirements.

WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants

  • Credit passes in three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social.
  • Credit passes in three electives: Graphic Design, General Art Knowledge, Visual Arts Elective excluding Bead making, Basketry, leather work.

A’ LEVEL Applicants

Applicants with A’ Level qualification must have five (5) credits at O’ Level, including English and Mathematics and passes three (3) in A’ Level subjects: Graphic Design, General Arts elective.

MATURE Applicants

You must be 25 years of age to qualify at the time of summiting your applicant forms.

Applicants can be with WASSCE/SSSCE or O level qualification.

    • You will have to review the admission requirements for Communication Design as a Programme, and compare your courses read in the technical WASSCE to see if you qualify
