What are grades needed for KNUST BA Economics Course

The basic requirements are that applicants should have credits passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects’ core subject English, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Elective subjects Economics, Mathematics, and any two of the following Government, French, Literature in English, Business Management, Costing, Accounting

KNUST BA Economics Entry requirements

Applicants must satisfy the university’s general requirements. To be qualified for admission prospective applicants must have the following requirements.

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

  • Credit passes in three core subjects English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social.
  • Credit passes in three (3) elective subjects including Economics and Elective Mathematics additional any  two the following: Ghanaian Language, Government, French, Literature in English, Business Management, Costing, Accounting and History.

A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

Five (5) credits at O’ Level, including English and Mathematics, additional a minimum of two (2) A’ Level passes including Economics and any of the following: French, Government, Literature in English, Business Management, History etc.

Applicants must have pass in General Paper.

MATURE APPLICANTS

Applicants must be 25 years old at the time of summitting application. EITHER five (5) credits at the O’ Level, including Economics, English and Mathematics.

OR credit passes in three (3) elective subjects including Economics and Elective Mathematics additional anyone (1) of the following: French, Government, Literature in English, Business Management, Geography, History.

Applicants must pass a written examination and interview.
