BSc Food Science and Technology KNUST programme aims to give students the information and abilities necessary to create, produce, and process nutritious food products and to comprehend the legal and regulatory framework that oversees the food industry as a whole. The program includes courses in nutrition, microbiology and food chemistry.

BSc FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY KNUST cut off points.

BSc Food Science and Technology KNUST cut off point play an important role in assisting applicants in the process of selecting their course at KNUST. Therefore, students who wants to apply must meet with the cut off points of the school before applying.

BSc Food Science and Technology KNUST cut off point is 14. Applicants must have credits in the following courses.

Three (3) core subjects English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Three (3) elective subjects Chemistry, Physics, Biology or General Agriculture. These courses must sum up to 14 or better for applicants to get admission.

Duration of BSc Food Science and Technology course

The BSc Food Science and Technology KNUST is a four-year degree program which leads to the award of the degree in Food Science and Technology.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in fieldwork and research projects, which provide hands on experience and allow them to apply the concepts they have learned in a practical setting.

What are grades needed for BSc Food Science and Technology Course

The basic requirements are that applicants should have credits passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects’ core subject English, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Elective subjects Chemistry, Physics, Biology or General Agriculture.

BSc FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY KNUST Admission Requirement

Applicants must satisfy the university’s general requirements. To be qualified for admission prospective applicants must have the following requirements.

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

  • Credit passes in three core subjects English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social.
  • Credit passes in three elective subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

Applicants with A’ Level qualification must have five (5) credits at O’ Level, including English and Mathematics and passes three (3) in A’ Level subjects: Chemistry and Physics, Biology.

MATURE APPLICANTS

You must be 25 years of age to qualify at the time of summiting your applicant forms.

Applicants can be with WASSCE/SSSCE or O level qualification.

HND APPLICANTS

After completing an interview, candidates with an HND or Diploma from an accredited institution will be placed in the second year.
