University of Ghana BSc Midwifery is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to provide excellent care to expectant mothers and their babies.
Students will learn about a variety of areas of midwifery through our programme, including parental care, labour, and delivery.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to take the licensing examination to become registered midwives in Ghana.
The University of Ghana BSc Midwifery is a four-year (4) degree program which leads to the award of the degree in Midwifery.
The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience through clinical placements in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
University of Ghana BSc Midwifery cut off point play an important role in assisting applicants in the process of selecting their course at KNUST. Therefore, students who wants to apply must meet with the cut off points of the school before applying.
University of Ghana BSc Midwifery cut off point is 11. Applicants must have credits in the following courses.
Three (3) core subjects English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Three (3) elective subjects Physics, Biology, Elective Mathematics, Chemistry. These courses must sum up to 11 or better for applicants to get admission.
The basic requirements are that applicants should have credits passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects’ core subject English, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Elective subjects Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Elective Mathematics
Applicant must satisfy university’s requirements. To be qualified for admission the prospective applicants must have following minimum requirements.
The applicant must possess a diploma from an accredited university with a final grade point average (FGPA) of 3.0 or above.
The NAB/University of Ghana will verify the applicants’ grades, which must fall within the range mentioned above.
There may be interviews for selection.
