The KNUST BSc Petroleum Engineering is a four(4) year degree programmed which leads to the award of Degree in Petroleum Engineering.
The basic requirements are that applicants should have credits passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects’ core subject English, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Elective subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics

Three (3) core subjects English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Three (3) elective subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. These courses must sum up to 07 or better for applicants to get admission.
Applicant must satisfy university’s general requirements. To be qualified for admission the prospective applicants must have the following requirements.
Credit passes in three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science. Credit passes in three (3) elective subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics.
Five credits at O’ Level including English and Mathematics.
EITHER credit passes at A’ Level in Pure Mathematics, Physics, Applied Mathematics with an O’ Level credit in Chemistry.
OR credit passes at A’ Level in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
Applicants must be 25 years at the time of submitting the application.
EITHER Five credits at the O’ Level including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
OR WASSCE/SSSCE credit passes in three (3) core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science. Credit passes in three elective subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.

Oil and gas are produced through designing, drilling, and operating wells and well systems as well as by managing the subsurface reservoirs where the resources are contained in an integrated manner.
