The KNUST BA History is a four-year degree program which leads to the award of the degree in History.

What are grades needed for KNUST BA History Course

The basic requirements are that applicants should have credits passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects’ core subject English, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Elective subjects History, Government any other General Arts elective.

KNUST BA History Entry requirements

Applicants must satisfy university’s requirements. To be qualified for admission the prospective must have the following requirements.

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

Credit passes in three (3) cores subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social
Credit passes in three (3) elective subjects: History, Government and any of one following: French, Ghanaian Language, Literature in English, Religious Studies, Economics and a pass in Social Studies also any other General Arts.

A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

Five (5) credits at O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics plus three (3) A’ Level passes including Government or English Language and any other two (2) of the following: French, Ghanaian Language, Geography, Religious Studies

Applicants must have a pass in General Paper.

MATURRE APPLICANTS

Applicants must be 25 years at the time pf summitting application.

Five (5) credits at O’ Level including English Language, Mathematics, History or Government

OR WASSCE/SSSCE credits in three (3) core subjects plus credits in three elective subjects: Government, History.

Applicants must pass a written examination and an interview.
