The basic requirements are that applicants should have credit passes (A1 – C6) in six (6) subjects’ core subject English, Mathematics, Intergrated Science or Social Studies. Elective subjects Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics
Applicant must satisfy university’s general requirements. To be qualified for admission the prospective applicants must have following requirements.
Credit passes in three (3) elective subjects: Chemistry, and two of the following electives subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Animal Husbandry, General Agriculture, Crop and Horticulture.
Bachelor’s degree applicants in Life Science (Biological Science, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Herbal Medicine) will be placed in year two (2) of the programme whilst applicants with a BSc in Nursing will be placed in year three (3) of the programme after a successful interview. Successful applicants will be exempted from some courses they have already taken.
Mature applicants aged 25 years and older with a diploma in Medical Assistants, Laboratory Technicians, Physiotherapy, or Registered General Nursing with three years of post-qualification experience and a good pass at the diploma level may be admitted to the first year of the programme after a successful interview.
