BSc Land Economy KNUST is a highly esteemed program that focuses on the built and natural environment, as well as the people and communities that live within them. Land Economy deals with the intersection of law, economics, and policy with regards to land and natural resources. The program prepares students for careers in field such as land valuation, property management, real estate development, and environmental management.

The aim of this program is equipping graduates with the knowledge and skills to provide solutions to land related problems in Ghana and across the world.

BSc LAND ECONOMY KNUST cut off points

BSc Land Economy KNUST cut off points is very important to guide applicant in the process of selecting their course at KNUST. therefore, student who want to apply must meet with the cut off points of the school before applying.

BSc Land Economy KNUST is 09. Applicant must have credit in the following courses:

Three core subject English, Mathematics, Intergrated Science or Social. Three elective subject Economy, Geography, History.these courses must sum up to 09 or better for applicant to get admission.

Duration of KNUST Land Economy  course

The BSc Land Economy is a four(4) degree programmed which leads to the award of Land Economy degree.

BSc Land Economy KNUST Admission Requirements

Applicant must satisfy university’s requirements. To be qualified for admission the prospective must have following requirements.

WASSE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

  • Credit passes in three (3) elective subjects: Economics, Geography and a third relevant to the Land Economics programme. Including French, Government, History, Literature English, Business Management, Accounting, Mathematics.
  • Credit passes in three (3) elective subjects: Economics and two from the following Geography, Accounting, Business Mathematics, Electives Mathematics, Technical Drawing, French, Building Construction.

A/O LEVEL APPLICANTS

Five (5) credit passes at the O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics, three (3) A’ Level passes, which two shall be Economics and Geography The grade must not below C.

MATURE APPLICANTS

Applicants must be 25 years old at the time of summitting the application.

EITHER five credits at the O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics.

OR WASSCE/SSSCE credit passes in three (3) elective subjects including Economics and Geography or applicants should hold Higher National Diploma (HND)/ Diploma in Estate Management. Additionally have a working have three (3) years working experience.

Faculty of Built Environment

There are a total of 4 departments under the KNUST faculty of Built Environment under the College of Art and Built Environment.

The departments are.

  • Department of Architecture
  • Department of Construction Technology Management
  • Department of Land Economy
  • Department of Planning

Departmnet of Land Economy

The department dedication to research, the department has a number of research groups and centers that concentrate on various facets of land economics, such as land policy, land use planning, and real estate. The department also collaborates with a number of groups and institutions, both locally and abroad, to assist its outreach and research initiatives. It applies discipline of economics, law, planning for the analysis of the governance of land use, urban areas and interaction with other environmental resources.

The department offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses and also four year undergraduate courses and two-one year post postgraduate programs . As well as four year PhD.
