Duration of BSc Geography and Rural Development KNUST course

The BSc Geography and Rural Development KNUST is a four-year degree program which leads to the award of the degree in Geography and Rural Development.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in fieldwork and research projects, which provide hands on experience and allow them to apply the concepts they have learned in a practical setting.

What are grades needed for KNUST Geography and Rural Development Course

The basic requirements are that applicants should have credits passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects’ core subject English, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Elective subjects Geography or any two General Arts Electives.

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

  • Credit passes in three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social.
  • Credit passes in three electives: Geography or any two (2) General Arts Elective of the following History, English Literature, Religious Studies, French, Economics, Government, Akan.

A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

Applicants with A’ Level qualification must have five (5) credits at O’ Level, including English and Mathematics and passes three (3) in A’ Level subjects: Geography, and any two (2) General Arts Electives.

MATURE APPLICANTS

You must be 25 years of age to qualify at the time of summiting your applicant forms.

Applicants can be with WASSCE/SSSCE or O level qualification.
