The BSc Chemistry program at KNUST is created to give students a solid foundation in chemistry’s core ideas as well as exposure to a variety of specialized fields of study.

Duration of BSc Chemistry KNUST course

The BSc Chemistry KNUST is a four-year degree program which leads to the award of the degree in Chemistry.

In addition to the classroom component of the program, students will also have an opportunity to participate in co-curricular activities such as internship, filed trips.

BSc Chemistry KNUST cut off points.

BSc Chemistry KNUST cut off point play an important role in assisting applicants in the process of selecting their course at KNUST. Therefore, students who wants to apply must meet with the cut off points of the school before applying.

BSc Chemistry KNUST cut off point is 16. Applicants must have credits in the following courses.

Three (3) core subjects English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social. Three (3) elective subjects Chemistry, Physics, Biology. These courses must sum up to 16 or better for applicants to get admission.

BSc Chemistry KNUST ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the university’s general requirements. To be qualified for admission prospective applicants must have the following requirements.

WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

  • Credit passes in three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social.
  • Credit passes in three electives: Chemistry, Physics, Biology

A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

Applicants with A’ Level qualification must have five (5) credits at O’ Level, including English and Mathematics and passes three (3) in A’ Level subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Zoology, Botany

MATURE APPLICANTS

You must be 25 years of age to qualify at the time of summiting your applicant forms.

Applicants can be with WASSCE/SSSCE or O level qualification.

HND HOLDERS

Applicants with Diploma or Higher National Diploma from accredited university will be admitted to second year of the program after a successful interview.
